(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - State Police will increase their patrols on several roadways in Southern Indiana in an attempt to reduce the number of crashes that are occurring.
The Bloomington post is responsible for patrolling Monroe, Owen, Brown, Greene, Lawrence and Morgan counties.
Crash data indicates that the majority of crashes occurring are caused by speed, following too closely and improper lane movements.
The following locations will be targeted to reduce crashes.
In Lawrence County, State Road 158 will be patrolled, as well as State Road 67 in Morgan County, State Road 46 in Brown County, State Road 54 in Greene County, State Road 37 in Monroe County and State Road 46 in Owen County.
