(BLOOMFIELD, IN) - A 19-year-old Bloomfield man has been arrested for firing a rifle at a neighbor’s residence.
Joseph R. Smith has been charged with criminal recklessness after firing the gun from the front door of his residence.
Police say that the round shattered a window and went through a room where a 15-month-old child was present.
When officers asked Smith about the shooting he claimed he did shoot in the direction of residence but he didn't intend to shoot the house.
A pre-trial conference has been schedule for November 8th.
