(UNDATED) - Indiana students in sixth grade and up need some extra vaccinations this year to attend school.
A new law requires booster shots against whooping cough and chickenpox, plus a shot for meningitis.
Thousands of students are at risk of being sent home from school because they haven't yet submitted the required vaccination records.
State law allows students who aren't immunized to attend school for a 20-day "grace period'' before being sent home.
