(BEDFORD, IN) - A Bedford man was arrested Wednesday afternoon for causing a car wreck.
Police say that 25-year-old William Fortner crashed into two utility poles while intoxicated.
The wreck caused more than 1,000 area residents to be without power.
Fortner was taken to St. Vincent Dunn Hospital for treatment of bruises scrapes.
Fortner's passenger, 26-year-old Justin Bunch was taken to Bedford Regional Medical Center and then airlifted to an Indianapolis hospital.
Fortner was released from the hospital only to be booked into the Lawrence County Jail a short time later.
