Man Hit With Axe During Attempted Robbery

(UNDATED, IN) - Indiana State Police and the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office are investigating an attempted robbery in Crawford County.

State police say that police received a 911 call from the 64 Express Mart, informing them of a man at the station had suffered a head injury.

Further investigation revealed that the injured man had returned home to discover a man inside his house wearing dark clothing and a mask.

When confronted, the suspected struck the homeowner in the head with an axe.
