(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - The mood at the General Electric factory in Bloomington has completely flipped from where it was in 2008 when employees were told the plant would close.
On Friday, G.E. told workers that the company will invest $68 million in the Bloomington plant to redesign its side-by-side refrigerator product line.
The investment fulfills a commitment the company made during negotiations in May with IBEW Union members who agreed to a wage freeze and lower starting wages.
