(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - An elderly husband and wife were killed in an overnight house fire in the southwest portion of Monroe County.
Despite the fact that the fire and deaths are under investigation, reports indicate the cause of the fire is not suspicious in nature.
Firefighters were called to the house Tuesday evening on West Crum Road.
The woman called 911 from a landline phone within the house and was told that everyone needed to evacuate the home.
Seven minutes after the call, the woman was discovered dead by the front door with the man found dead by a door leading into the garage.
