(UNDATED) - The National Weather Service canceled a fire watch today, but officials say that cancellation does not affect the burn bans currently in effect.
So far, 69 counties currently have active burn bans.
Due to the many field fires since the severe dry conditions began, the Indiana State Fire Marshal's Office is advising counties affected by the bans to be prepared to evacuate if necessary.
