(MARTINSVILLE, IN) - Firefighters spent several hours Wednesday morning battling a building fire in the heart of downtown Martinsville.
Fire broke out at the historic Kivett's Department Store building around 1:00AM.
There are apartments on the second floor; those residents were evacuated.
Crews from several fire departments fought the blaze.
The cause is still under investigation.
