(MITCHELL, IN) - A 16-year-old Mitchell teen was injured Tuesday evening when her vehicle crashed into a mailbox, continuing down an embankment, causing the vehicle to flip on its side.
Heather Patton was traveling on Old U.S. Highway 60 West when the wreck occurred.
Police say that skid marks on the road indicate that Patton was traveling to an unsafe speed causing her to lose control of the vehicle around the 90 degree curve.
Patton was taken to a Bedford hospital after being pulled from the wreckage; she suffered minor cuts and bruises in the wreck.
