(MITCHELL, IN) - The much-debated Mitchell Police Merit Commission is back in business following the appointing of several new members to the board.
On Monday, police officers chose Marcy Pedersen to be their representative with Mitchell Mayor Dan Terrell naming Jim Wood and Doug Kesterson as his appointments.
They trio now joins Phil Tincher and Terry Bock.
Tincher says the hiring of a new police officer is one of the commission's top priorities.
The next regularly scheduled merit board meeting will be on November 24th.
