Norman Miller - Bedford
Norman Miller of Bedford passed away on Sunday, December 12th at Bedford Regional Medical Center at the age of 77. Born in 1933 in Huron to Barney and Roxie Miller, he had been married to Diana Marlene Sproles since 1958, had worked at Carpenter Body Works and was a retired die cast operator for General Motors. Norman was also a member of the Englewood Baptist Church, U.A.W. and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife; two sons, Mark Miller and his wife Brenda and Mick Miller and his wife Karrina; one daughter, Lisa Nelson and her husband Dennis; two sisters, Ishmael Baker and Sue Beasley and her husband Russell; one brother, Bob Miller; as well as several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Debra Michele; one sister, Jeraldine Bex; as well as four brothers, Lester, Raymond, Orval and Marvin Miller. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, December 16th at the Englewood Baptist Church with burial to follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 3:00PM until 8:00PM on Wednesday and from 10:00AM until the hour of service on Thursday at the church.
Barbara Sue Speer - Mitchell
Barbara Sue Speer of Mitchell passed away at 10:00AM on Sunday, December 12th at her residence at the age of 71. Born in 1939 in Lawrence County to Alva Timothy and Renia Mae Brown, she had been married to Ernest Speer since 1956, was a homemaker and was also a member of the Mitchell Pentecostal Church. She is survived by her husband; children, Gerald Speer and his wife Cathy, Diana Mitchner and her husband Doug, Ernest Speer and his wife Cheryl; brothers, Alva, Larry, Gerald, Bobby, Danny and Timothy Brown; sisters, Helen Speer, Mary Estrada and Alice Brown; as well as several grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, December 17th at the Bride of Christ Fellowship with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00PM until 7:00PM on Thursday and from 10:00AM until the hour of service on Friday at the church.
