(MITCHELL, IN) - Lawrence County Probation Officers unexpectedly uncovered a meth lab Tuesday while visiting a man on probation.
Lawrence County Sheriff Sam Craig says that members of the probation department paid Donald L. Carter a visit Tuesday at his Mitchell home and found items used to manufacture methamphetamine.
After a search warrant was obtained, officers located several items commonly used in the production of methamphetamine.
In addition to Carter, police found five other people at the home, including the 9-year-old daughter of 28-year-old Sarah N. Janke, 18-year-old Cory B. Lee, 24-year-old Larry D. Warren, and 35-year-old Charles D. Riggs.
