(PAOLI, IN) - Paoli Community Schools Superintendent Alva Sibbitt Jr. had already resigned from his job before being arrested on Thursday and will now use vacation days to fill out the remainder of his term.
Paoli School Board President Bill McDonald said the board voted 7-0 Monday evening to approve a request from Sibbitt that he be allowed to use vacation time through his scheduled departure from the system on December 31st.
Sibbitt was hired in November as the superintendent of Mitchell Community Schools and is scheduled to begin duties there on January 1st.
Mitchell School Board Officials have not made any comment on Sibbitt's arrest and will continue to review the situation.
