(NEW ALBANY, IN) - Indiana Conservation Officers are looking for information about a Peregrine Falcon shot in Floyd County near the I-64 Bridge in New Albany last month.
The bird was found wounded December 22nd and eventually died December 31st.
The Falcon, named Phoenix, had been bred in captivity and released into the wild in 1994.
Peregrine Falcons are protected as endangered species in Indiana.
The person responsible could face jail time and thousands of dollars in fines.
