(SEYMOUR, IN) - A 44-year-old Jackson County man charged with murder in connection with the death of a roommate in 2006 is set to stand trial at 8:30AM on January 19th.
Robert Allen Barker's trial has been continued numerous times since Barker's arrest in May 2007 in connection with the death of 33-year-old William Dean Jackson.
Jackson's body was found in March.
An autopsy revealed the cause of death was a small-caliber gunshot wound to the left side of his head.
Family members stated Jackson was murdered by Barker because of a drug debt.
Police recovered a .22-caliber gun, which had been sold for drugs, used to shoot Jackson, as well as a white 1992 GMC Jimmy, which was used to transport Jackson's body to the Vernon Fork.
