(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - A Bloomington woman is facing preliminary charges of prostitution and theft, after telling police she took a man’s iPod for collateral until she was paid for a sex act.
21-year-old Lacy Renee O'Malley was booked into the Monroe County Jail on preliminary charges of misdemeanor prostitution and felony theft.
Police say a 19-year-old man had called police, accusing a woman of stealing his iPod and keeping it in her coat pocket.
Police later discovered that the woman had posted an advertisement on Craigslist seeking a man to possibly have sex with.
Officers are now in the process of obtaining a warrant for the man's arrest on a patronizing a prostitute charge.
