(UNDATED) - March is Disability Awareness Month in Indiana.
Christine Dahlburg with the governor's council on disabled individuals says the council doesn't put on state-wide events.
Instead, it aids those looking to put on educational events in their own communities.
She adds that the month is not so much about highlighting disabled Hoosiers, as it is more about educating people who are not disabled about the contributions that the disabled make in Indiana every day.
