(MARTINSVILLE, IN) - Martinsville school officials held a meeting over the weekend with law enforcement officials and parents regarding the March 25th shooting of 15-year-old Chance Jackson at Martinsville West Middle School and the shooting threat found in a bathroom at the high school.
Assistant Superintendent of Business Randy Taylor says there will be increased security when students return from spring break today.
Officials wouldn't elaborate on what security measures would be taken.
Assistant Superintendent of Instruction Jerry Sanders says counseling will be available for returning students.
He says school counselors and psychologists from the school district will be on hand and, if needed, outside therapists will be available.
Jackson was shot twice in the stomach on March 25th.
He's in fair condition at I.U. Health Methodist Hospital.
