(SALEM, IN) - Two teenagers made an escape attempt Tuesday afternoon while being escorted by police from a court proceeding in Salem.
The escape attempt was short-lived and only lasted about six minutes.
Washington County Sheriff Claude Combs says that as officers were loading up a group of prisoners, the two teens managed to get the unlocked door open, running across Main Street.
Additional charges are now pending for the attempted escape.
