(ORLEANS, IN) - For the first time in its history, flood waters have entered the Orleans Fire Station and the office storage area inside the Orleans Town Hall.
Numerous items, file boxes, had to be moved out to avoid destruction.
Officials say that water has entered the Orleans Police Station as well.
Despite stressful times, the town has pulled together and provided three dump truck loads of sand to fill sandbags.
Officials also plan to bring in a large dumpster that will be set up at Town Garage area for flood debris.
As far as the Orleans Dogwood Festival is concerned, the Dogwood Euchre Tourney scheduled for tonight has been moved to the Orleans High School Cafeteria beginning at 6:30PM.
