(UNDATED) - Many people are reporting seeing foxes and coyotes around central Indiana.
It may seem like there are a lot more of them around, but Angela Goldman with the Department of Natural Resources suggests it appears that way because we have all expanded into their back yards.
Goldman says neither animal is dangerous to people although she advises against approaching them.
There have been isolated reports of small dogs being attacked but no attacks on people.
Bear, wolves and cougars also once roamed the area but they are no longer around.
