(BEDFORD, IN) - A Bedford man was arrested early this morning for throwing a lawn gnome through a bedroom window.
Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley says that 49-year-old Michael Todd was arrested for throwing the lawn statue along with armed robbery.
The incident began when Todd allegedly attacked a man and demanded money.
Later that night, Todd returned to the same man's home in the 1700 block of 5th Street, eventually breaking the bedroom window.
When police arrived at the house, they noticed a gas can on the property with a portion of it having been poured on the side of the house.
Further investigation led police to Todd's residence.
Chief Parsley says that when officers pulled up Todd turned off his lights and hid inside the building.
He was later apprehended and booked into the Lawrence County Jail.
