(UNDATED) - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is monitoring the water levels of the dams under their control very closely.
The Monroe Lake Reservoir is nearly 100% full with the dam holding back the waters of Salt Creek it was designed to contain.
Hydrolic Engineer Jamie Blanton says with the reservoir so full the conduit controlling the water flow may have to be opened more to pass as much water as as possible.
Blanton says it will add about a foot of water to the creek at Bedford, but shouldn't add too much to any local flooding in the area.
