(BEDFORD) - Bedford residents and families are still in awe of the devastation from Wednesday evening’s storms.
Sandy Miller says she watched the storm come in and sought shelter in her son's basement, but worried about the rest of her family.
Once the storm passed, Miller says she headed over to her mother's house only to find the home destroyed.
Her 81-year-old mother, Virginia Souder was struck in the head by a falling concrete block from the basement wall. Souder received about a dozen staples for her injured but should be okay.
Miller says she never thought she would see a tornado and hopes she never will again.
