(SEYMOUR, IN) - Jackson County police were called to investigate the report of a horse being shot and killed in the Medora area.
Tom Callahan informed police that the thoroughbred mare belonged to someone in Kentucky and was valued between $200,000 and $300,000.
The horse had been shot in the right side with what appeared to be a small caliber round.
