Ban On Drop-Side Cribs Goes Into Effect

(UNDATED) - A ban on selling or buying drop side cribs went into effect on Tuesday.

According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the cribs are attributed to at least 32 deaths in the last 10 years.

More than 9 million drop-side cribs have been recalled since 2007.

Goodwill Industries of Central Indiana Vice President of Marketing Cindy Graham says they have not sold drop side cribs for five years.

The ban also makes it illegal to sell them at garage sales.
