(UNDATED) - Bath salts and spice become illegal in Indiana at midnight.
One of the new state laws taking effect tomorrow makes it a crime to have either substance.
Scott Watson with Heartland Intervention says bath salts are becoming very popular quickly.
The Indiana Poison Center says more than 240 bath salt overdoses have been reported just in the last week.
This is not the same thing as bath salts used to take a relaxing bath, although the product is sometimes sold that way in online.
Watson says, just because something becomes illegal doesn't mean people will break their habit.
He says one problem for bath salt users is the hard crash when they stop taking it.
Bath salts have a similar high to cocaine and meth.
