(UNDATED) - One real estate expert is calling a new report on May home sales in Central Indiana “terribly misleading.”
Greg Cooper with Prudential Indiana says data from May of 2010 to May of this year shows an increase in housing contracts of close to 700, or "up significantly."
Cooper says it appears the numbers from the Metro Indianapolis Board of Realtors was based on closed home sales; those numbers show a 15% decline.
Cooper says closing data is not an accurate reflection of the market.
