(UNDATED) - Gas prices are dropping in Indiana. Triple-A’s Fuel Gauge Report says the average price for regular unleaded in Indiana is now $3.79 a gallon.
That's down from $4.12 a gallon one month ago.
Hoosier Motor Club Spokesman Greg Seiter says Indiana gas prices were high due in part to pipeline disruptions and refinery problems up north and into Canada.
Now that the issues are resolved, prices are trending downward.
Seiter says even when prices were about four dollars a gallon, auto travel remained high.
He expects the summer season will continue to spur heavy driving.
Seiter says even though many Hoosiers are unhappy about gas prices, people will continue to travel although driving habits may slightly change.
