(BLOOMINGTON) - Indiana University is hosting a 2-day workshop for middle and high school kids designed to inspire futures in science and technology.
Ready Set Robots Team Leader Christi Kallback-Rose says teams of students have 2 days to program a robot to perform a certain task. The teams then test their robot in a friendly competition.
Kallback-Rose says the overall goal of the program is to get young people engaged and excited about science and technology with the hopes they will continue the interest in higher education eventually leading to a career.
The program began Tuesday (June 14th) and continues Wednesday (June 15th) with an advanced session for high school students Friday (June 17th).
