(BEDFORD, IN) - Painting of the Bedford city water tower continues.
Members of Bedford's Board of Works and Public Safety had originally voted to accept a bid from Caldwell Tanks of Louisville to paint both of the city's water towers.
Caldwell made a proposal of $774,000 to complete the project, which was lower than the proposals made by other companies.
The painting of the first water tower was originally estimated to be completed in 90 days.
City officials say they may wait to have the second water tower painted next year.
