(UNDATED) - State health officials say West Nile is appearing in Indiana for the first time this summer.
Both Allen and Hamilton Counties have had mosquitoes test positive for the virus.
More than 20 Hoosiers have died from the mosquito-borne illness.
People are being told to wear bug spray when outdoors, wear coverings, and screen in windows and doors.
Last year, West Nile Virus was found in mosquitoes in 54 Indiana counties.
