Woman Gives Birth To Twins In Hotel Room Toilet

(CLARKSVILLE, IN) - Police in Clarksville, Indiana made a disturbing discovery in a hotel room.

Officers were called to America's Best Inn and Suites on Eastern Boulevard on Friday. They found newborn twins in a toilet.

A male baby was dead, a female was alive.

The twins' mother, 36-year-old Betsy Dalton, called police to the room after she gave birth.

Described as "mentally challenged," Dalton told officers she did not know she was pregnant.

Dalton has not been charged in connection with the twins' births.

She is being held in the Floyd County Jail on an outstanding warrant on separate charges.
