(ORLEANS) - Orleans Town Officials will host a special town meeting on Wednesday, August 10th at 7 pm at the Orleans Christian Church’s Unity Hall on the town’s interest in participating in the Hazard Mitigation Program.
The meeting will serve to inform interested residents of the town's desire to pursue possible participation in the program, in the connection with the impact of flooding in Orleans.
Several state and federal agencies are expected to be on hand with displays and information on their programs.
U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency, and INDOT are all scheduled to be there.
