(BIRDSEYE) - Southern Indiana’s Patoka Lake recently was mentioned in USA Today as the best place to watch wildlife in the state.
Patoka Lake Wildlife Specialist Aron Showalter says visitors can see deer, turkeys, squirrels, rabbits and songbirds but the more interesting wildlife include eagles, ospreys and bobcats.
Showalter says the bobcat population has flourished in recent years.
The lake offers many camping options, including primitive and electric along with floating cabins.
