(BLOOMINGTON) - The last person who reportedly saw Lauren Spierer on the night she disappeared spoke to an Indianapolis television station.
While walking to his car off campus in Bloomington, Jay Rosenbaum declined to give a message for Lauren's family.
Rosenbaum says he has spoken to Lauren's family privately.
In a message to "Fox59", Lauren's mother Charlene Spierer said, "I have not spoken with Jay Rosenbaum. I was surprised to hear his comment."
A friend of Rosenbaum did speak on the case, saying, "Yes, I did know (Lauren). I lived two doors down the hall from her. I wasn't here when this whole thing happened, I really don't like talking about it but it saddens us and it saddens everybody."
