According to Lawrence Coutny Police two vehicles hit the hitch that was laying in the road, they then pulled their vehicles to the side of the road, shortly there after a third vehicle hit the hitch causing a blowout, they parked their car in the median, with part of the car sticking into the road.
When motorcyclist Brian Clark, in the process of falling struck the back of the car parked in the road, Clark suffered a severely broken leg and was flown via Lifeline to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Three cars were in a chain reaction fender bender after the first vehicle in line stopped to avoid Clark, who was in the road after being ejected from the bike.
