(BEDFORD) - The Bedford Fire Department will honor the emergency service personnel who lost their lives at Ground Zero on Sunday with an open house.
"I don't think you ever get over something like that, especially as a firefighter," Wagner said. "It will stay with me forever."
The open house will be noon till 5 p.m. Chili will be served along with desserts.
"Everyone is welcome to stop by and pay their respects and see the Flag of Heroes," Wagner said.
The flag contains all the names of the emergency personnel who died during the disaster. The names make up the stripes on the flag. Wagner said 343 flags will be on display during the open house.
The Flag of Heroes is available to the public. The flag is 3-by-5 feet and is $19.95 plus shipping and handling and can be ordered by calling 888-901-3524.
