(BEDFORD) - The general election will occur in just 10 short weeks on Tuesday, November 8th and Bedford Mayor Shawna Girgis is urging residents to register to vote.
"In the past four years progress has been made in the areas of job creation, saving tax dollars, efficiencies in city government, and preparing for the future. To insure that this progress continues you must cast your vote so your voice can be heard," Girgis said. "This can only happen if you are registered to vote."
Residents can register in person at the Lawrence County Voter Registration Office or the Indiana Election Division. Questions regarding voter registration should be directed to one of these offices.
The Lawrence County Voter Registration Office is located at 916 15th Street. You can also call 275-7543 for more information.
