(BEDFORD) - A Bedford Police officer was injured after a SUV hit her police cruiser at the intersection of Washington Avenue and 29th Street Thursday morning.
BPD officer Raquel Turner complained of arm pain. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment and released.
Police reports say Turner was stopped at the stop sign on 29th Street and was pulling from the intersection when an SUV driven by 89-year-old Cletus L. Smith hit the side of the police car.
A witness at the scene told police the SUV did not stop at the stop sign.
