(LINTON) - A rural Linton man was arrested early Thursday morning following a domestic dispute where he allegedly battered and strangled his wife.
Scott Y. Bedwell, 27, Linton was charged with strangulation, a class D felony; domestic battery, and possession of marijuana, both class A misdemeanors. He was taken to the Greene County Jail, where he is being held on a $9,000 bond.
Police were called to Bedwell's home at 2:50 a.m., after family members received a text message from Kasi Bedwell asking them to call police.
Linton Police Officer Brock Garrison said Bedwell and his wife are in the process of obtaining a divorce and fighting.
Kasi was taken to Greene County General Hospital for treatment.
