(UNDATED) - Come December, all of the former Integra Bank branches in the state will be closed as a result of the bank’s recent acquisition by competitor Old National Bank.
Old National acquired Integra's 52 branches on July 29 in a FDIC-assisted transaction when Integra failed.
The Mitchell branch will close in mid -to late October.
The branch locations set to close in December are Bedford, Paoli and Washington.
On Friday, Old National released a list of 23 former Integra offices set for closure on Dec. 9. They include six offices in Evansville, plus offices in a number of other Tri-State towns. (The December closures are in addition to nine previously announced branch closures set to take place Sept. 30.)
Of the 23 branches, four will close in mid- to late October. The remaining 19 will close Dec. 9.
The four branches closing next month are all in Indiana: Dale, Huntingburg (Monticello location), Mitchell and Petersburg.
Bob Jones, Old National's president and chief executive officer said these four branches are closing earlier than originally planned because of the number of employees who have left from those branches to take new jobs.
"We're glad those associates found other positions," Jones said.
No employees will lose their jobs as a result of the branch closures in September and October, Old National said, because employees at the affected branches will be transferred to other branch locations.
The branch closures Dec. 9 will result in job loss, but the company said it's too early to predict how many people will be affected. Over the next 90 days, Old National will evaluate its staffing needs based on both the branch consolidations and expected attrition.
In a statement released Friday, Old National said it expects to "provide some opportunities for the employees affected by the closures." The company said it also is providing career coaching, workshops, a networking group and scholarship assistance to employees.
To date, Jones said, 48 former Integra employees have accepted new positions at Old National. Another 62 have left the bank for jobs elsewhere.
As of July 29, Integra had 494 employees total.
After the December closures, Old National will be left with 20 former Integra offices -- 16 in the Tri-State, plus four in the Chicago area.
Jones said Old National might close additional offices after Dec. 9, but that decision hasn't yet been made.
The branch locations set to close in December are listed below.
Evansville: Hebron Avenue, Red Bank Road, Northfield (12600 U.S. 41 North), North Green River Road (3300 N. Green River Road), former Integra headquarters Downtown, First Avenue at Mill Road
Other Indiana towns: Bedford (In Bedford, the Old National branch will close and be consolidated with the town's former Integra branch); Mount Vernon, Newburgh, Paoli, Princeton, Rockport, Vincennes and Washington.
