(MITCHELL) - An 85-year-old Mitchell man was injured after his truck hit a concrete culvert Tuesday afternoon.
Danny O. Ellis, 85, suffered minor injuries to his face.
Mitchell Police Officer Andy Blackburn said Ellis was parked in the McDonald's parking lot and was slumped over the steering wheel, when his 1993 Chevrolet S-10 truck accelerated exited the south side of the parking lot, traveled down a grassy hill between the restaurant's parking lot and Ind. 60 East and hit a concrete culvert head-on.
When police arrived, Ellis was being cared for by two people who witnessed the accident.
Mitchell First Responders assisted at the scene.
