(CRANE) - The leadership of Crane Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center will be formally and traditionally transferred during a Change of Command Ceremony on Thursday.
The ceremony will be held on the front lawn of NSWC Crane's Building 1 at 10:30 a.m. Colonel Alan M. Pratt, USMC, will accept leadership of NSWC Crane Command from Captain Charles S. LaSota, USN, who is retiring from the military after 35 years of service.
Rear Admiral James Shannon, Commander, Naval Surface Warfare Center is the guest speaker for the formal change in Navy Leadership. Vice Admiral Kevin McCoy, Commander, Naval Sea Systems Command is the guest speaker for the retirement ceremony.
NSWC Crane is the largest tenant mission command located aboard Naval Support Activity Crane with approximately 3,000 civilian and 1,700 contractor employees. NSWC Crane is the 2nd largest employer in southwestern Indiana putting 2 million a day into the Indiana economy.
