(BEDFORD) - Lawrence County Police officers recovered a stolen gun after they went to a home on WPA Road about a domestic fight Wednesday night.

The woman told police she didn't want to give the man his things because he had a gun in a backpack.
The man left before police arrived.
Police took the gun and checked the serial number to find it had been stolen from a home in Bedford.
Bedford Police were notified and the case is under investigation.
While police were at the home they found the woman, Jessica Shipley, was wanted on a warrant in Monroe County for theft. She was arrested.
