(BEDFORD) - Two Bedford residents were injured in car accidents and police are looking for another driver who fled the scene of accident this weekend.
The first accident happened Saturday morning at the intersection of Peerless Lane and Rawlins Mill Road.
Lawrence County Police Sgt. Lonnie Johnson says Sharon K. Kittaka, 44, of 966 Peerless Lane, was turning into her driveway when her car was hit by a faded-red Dodge Dakota truck. The driver of the truck left the scene, police say.
Anyone with information on the truck should call the Sheriff's Department.
A Bedford woman was injured when she lost control of her car and drove into a culvert on Rocky Creek West Road, Sunday morning.
Sgt. Johnson says Adrian Price, 26, of 487 Mundell Road, was adjusting her radio when she drove off the right side of the roadway and crashed her 2007 Mazda into the culvert.
Price had minor facial injuries, according to police reports.
A Bedford teen was injured Saturday afternoon when her car hit a utility pole and flipped.
Danielle N. Vaughn, 17, 1508 N Street, was driving on Ind. 158 West, when she lost control of her Mitsubishi Eclipse on the wet roadways.
Sgt. Johnson said Vaughn's vehicle crossed the center line, she then over-corrected, causing the car to come back across the roadway and hit the guard rail. The car then crossed back left of center, went off the left side of the road and hit a utility pole and overturned.
Vaughn complained of arm pain and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Indian Creek Volunteer Firefighters assisted at the scene.
