(BEDFORD) - On Oct. 8, White River Humane Society will host its first-ever golf scramble at Otis Park.
Tim Lynch, board member and organizer of the scramble, said he's hoping for a strong turnout to make life better for the dogs and cats that end up at the shelter.
The shelter is down $15,000 this year in donations, Lynch said.
The scramble has room for 24 teams and is seeking sponsors ranging from $1,500 to $100. There will be hole prizes and a silent auction.
Top team prize is $400. Cost to play is $50 per person or $200 per team and includes lunch and dinner.
Lynch said he's also gathering donations for hole prizes and the silent auction.
