(SEYMOUR) - Seymour Police Department is investigating the death of a woman found in a local hotel Thursday afternoon.
Sgt. Mike Cooper said the investigation started as a missing person case out of Washington County.
Washington County Sheriff's Department asked Seymour Police to attempt to make contact with the woman, who was thought to be at the hotel on the city's far east side, Cooper said.
Police found her car in the parking lot and when they entered the hotel room they found the woman not breathing.
Jackson County Coroner Roger Wheeler said Friday night that results from an autopsy were inconclusive and authorities were waiting on toxicology reports.
No other information was available.
