(BEDFORD) - Beatleburgers will be for sale at the CVS parking lot in Bedford this Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2p.m.
Proceeds from the Beatleburgers sale will be used for the Clothe A Child Project.
Beatleburgers was created in the mid 1960's by the Bedford Jaycees as a fundraising project. They continued to cook Beatleburgers with their "secret sauce" until the late 1980's.
The money earned during the project was used by the Jaycees to fund such projects as the 4th of July fireworks, Jr. Miss, Clothe-A-Child and many more.
Over the last 20 plus years, Beatleburgers have continued to raise approximately $10,000 to $20,000 dollars to purchase clothes for children at Christmas time.
As of August 2011, the project will stand on its own as a not for profit Indiana corporation. The new corporation will do as they did last year and resurrect the Beatleburger once again.
The project hopes to completely fund the cost of this years project and the money raised will go 100% to the Clothe-A-Child project.
Last year the project helped about 150 children at Christmas time.
